Using Trolleys in Pick Lists

1. Enabling Trolley Picking

Before using trolleys in the Pick module, ensure that "Pick Trolleys" is enabled in the scenario settings.

  • If disabled, trolleys cannot be assigned or scanned during picking.

  • If enabled, assign a trolley before starting the pick process, either manually or by scanning.

2. Assigning Trolleys to a Pick List

  • Trolleys can be predefined in SAP Business One or left blank for users to assign during picking.

  • Each trolley has a unique ID and may contain multiple cubicles to separate items.

3. Scanning and Overwriting Trolley ID

  • Scan or enter a trolley ID before starting the pick process.

  • If a trolley ID is predefined, the user must scan the correct trolley unless overwriting is allowed.

  • If no trolley ID is predefined:

    • If "Allow Overwriting Pick Trolley" is enabled, scan any trolley to assign it.

    • If "Allow Overwriting Pick Trolley" is disabled, the system does not allow the process to continue, and a prompt appears:

      • "Not allowed to process this pick list."

  • If an incorrect trolley ID is scanned:

    • If overwriting is enabled, the scanned trolley ID is accepted.

    • If overwriting is disabled, the system prompts:

      • "Please scan the correct trolley ID."

4. Assigning Items to Trolley Cubicles

  • Picked items can be placed into specific cubicles within a trolley.

    • If Automatic Cubicle Assignment is enabled, the system assigns items to cubicles in order.

    • If Manual Cubicle Selection is enabled, scan or select a cubicle for each picked item.

5. Restricting Trolleys Based on Cubicle Availability

  • If enabled only trolleys with enough available cubicles for the pick list can be selected.

    • If a trolley does not have enough cubicles, the system prompts the user to choose a different trolley.

  • If disabled, users can assign trolleys even if they do not have enough cubicles, and some items may not be assigned to a specific cubicle.

6. Processing Pick Lists with Trolleys

  • Once the picking process is completed, the trolley and cubicle assignments are recorded in SAP B1.

Handling Serial and Batch Numbers

  1. Serial Numbers Without BIN Locations:

    • Create a Pick List and enter the picked quantity.

    • Right-click on the picked quantity and select "Batch/Serial No." to assign serial numbers.

  2. Query for Serial Numbers:

    • Barcode scanner queries Serial and batch numbers from created pick list document

  3. Scanning Serial/Batch numbers:

After scanning item what is managed by Serial or Batch numbers, user gets popup to provide current numbers

  1. Validation of Serial Numbers:

Barcode Scanner validates Serial/Batch numbers immediately after scanning against Pick list document

Scanning Alternative Serial Numbers

  • If you need to scan an alternate serial number not predefined in the pick list, enable the setting "Overwrite proposed to update Serial & Batch Numbers allowed" in the scenario settings.

Alternative Bin Location

  • If you need to use an alternate Bin location instead of predefined in the pick list, enable the setting "Allow alternative location" in the scenario settings.

  • In pick document provided bin location will be activated and clickable

  • After clicking predefined bin location (or warehouse) you will receive list of all available locations where current item exists

  • Important is to remember that you can only change warehouse if predefined and new both are either managed by bin locations either bot aren’t, you can’t change warehouse with bin locations on warehouse without bin locations

  • Predefined serial numbers will be automatically removed after changing location

Production Order Picking

  • If Pick document is created base on Production Order, by picking and Saving on SAP Business One it will automatically create Issue For Production document
